Community Fair at East High School

We were at East High School – Des Moines Community Fair

We gave away over 500 period products in form of period packs!!

We spread awareness about period poverty and it’s impact, especially on students. We talked to students and families about period poverty and also played trivia with them about periods and menstrual health.

ITA employees helped pack over 750 period packs using over 11k period products!

Thank you to ITA Women’s Leadership Group for doing this again this year for us! They ran a donation drive for couple weeks to collect the needed products and those products were majorly used during the packing party! Thank you to all their employees who volunteered to make this event possible❣️

These period packs will be donated to several schools in Iowa that our organization supports.

Day on the Hill: Legislative Day

Love For Red took on the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines! This was our second year in our advocacy journey! We spoke with many Iowa State Senators about legislation regarding free menstrual products for schools in Iowa. Thank you to everyone who talked to us and thank you to everyone who advocated with us! It was such a great experience and we cannot wait to dive more into our advocacy journey!
