I joined Love For Red after I met them at the CelebrAsian Festival. At the festival, Love For Red stood out to me because it finally seemed like someone was raising awareness of period poverty (At the time I wasn’t aware of many organizations who were addressing period poverty). Period poverty is often an issue that is overlooked or ignored. I’ve heard stories from women I know about how they would have accessibility issues or how they couldn’t talk about their periods growing up.  I’ve done a lot of research on period poverty and it makes me so sad to know there are women and girls out there who don’t have access to essential/ important hygiene products. It’s like not having soap or toothpaste!  And at school, I know some girls can’t afford period products. And so I joined Love For Red! I wanted to help make a difference in any way I could! It makes me happy knowing I’m making a difference and helping people. Love For Red has also inspired me to start an organization that addresses other issues.

Some fun facts about me include: I play the flute, I LOVE reading, and I do Mock Trial.
